Course Description
A self-study course for healthcare practitioners addressing nicotine use among youth and young adults. Upon completion, healthcare practitioners will learn practical, evidence-informed strategies to support behavioural change. This course is not eligible for the TEACH Certificate Program.
Note: There is no consensus on age ranges for youth and young adults. Context is provided when describing course content, but individual patient circumstances should guide clinical practice.
This course features:
- Videos featuring youth advisors and subject-matter experts.
- An “Ask the Expert” discussion board where you can ask course faculty questions after completing the course content.
Cost: $250
The course is organized into three modules:
- Nicotine Use and Adolescent Development
- Trauma- and Violence-Informed Assessment and Engagement
- Evidence-Informed Interventions
